Isabelle's Birthday Weekend

Today was Isabelle's 4th Birthday!!
Wespent all weekend celebrating.

Friday we hung out with her little friends Aiden and Owen and had pizza for dinner. The weather was so fantastic. It is always refreshing to have a 50-something degree day around here early April, it is a sign that the warm weather is coming we just need to have some patience.

Saturday it was beautiful outside, the sun was beaming down when I woke
up, I just knew Spring was here! I went to Target and stocked up on bubbles, chalk and Isabelle's big birthday gift ((an awesome bike with all the accessories)).

Of course when I picked up the little Princess* she decided it was her royal napping time so the play time was put on hold...

upon waking she was hungry so she woofed down a cheeseburger from McDonalds. You know, fatty foods such as a cheeseburger are good for kiddos with CF because they need all the help gaining weigh they can get. She sure loves those cheeseburgers, but please no pickles!

We played with chalk and bubbles for hours... Chara even enjoyed the bubbles, chasing them like they were something he wanted badly.

Angelina arrived and it was now time to unveil her big birthday surprise!

it only took her about a minute to get the h
ang of it. Dad helped out and she was off. What an awesome time!

Sunday came and it was Birthday Time!! We headed over to her house for some cake and ice
cream.

I just love spending my days with this little girl. She adds so much joy to my life, I am so blessed to have such an amazing family and this beautiful little extended family.

..playing catch up..

So it has been about a year since I have turned on this blogging thing. A lot has gone down, I've moved, been laid off, gone back to school, discovered coupons and so much more.

Let's back up...

gee, I wish we had this button for life it could make things a heck of a lot easier.

June 2010 we moved in with his parents to save some money faster so we can get our own house. We are still working on that. I was also laid off, and decided hey, lets make an attempt a finishing that associates degree I began 7 years ago. So I did that all summer and fall. Enter 2011, still with his parents and still laid off. Not much has changed since then, job hunting is on hold due to my being a Grand Juror for this term, fun stuff not much more to say about it other than that.

The Great Strides Walk is coming up, and big props to everyone who has registered and working on their fundraising! I could not be happier about the support we are getting this year, and a lot of that going to Nicole for helping us out
on her super awesome blog ((not sure how to link it here but she is over at flipflopsandcombatboots.net go give her some love)). We have a pretty good team lined up and we are hoping for no rain this year!

Still fighting on making CF stand for Cure Found each day. I find ways to connect with the CF community pretty often, and spread the word to those who aren't aware of what CF is and its need for a cure. Isabelle is going to be 4 on Sunday! I cannot believe how fast she grows.

Married life is just that, married life. Working on day 481 today and loving every minute of it!

this is the most recent photo of the Hubby* and I. Isn't he adorable!

Oh and the Bruins just may find their way to the Stanley Cup this year -- told ya!

Stay tuned

Great Strides Walk....Zumba!!

Well the Great Strides walk is this coming Saturday. We have got everything ready to go (so far), walkers are in order with their walking shoes ready to go, donations are coming in, t-shirts have been donated. I am eager for the walk, its only a short few miles but the cause is so empowering! I feel like we've done a successful job thus far and I just hope the weather keeps nice for the walk. I'd hate to not have the kids be able to join us in their strollers because of the weather. Ran into some glitches with the Dough Raiser as a few people felt that the totals were not allocated properly, so I mentioned it to the person who organized it and it just seems to be snowballing into what I did not want, a chaotic mess. The cause seems to get lost in translation, especially when people talk about money. I intend to let it go, and move forth. Still haven't gotten the tattoos yet, saving our pennies and waiting for his to finish being drawn. Oh yeah, we're all getting tattoo for CF, so when some one asks hey whats that tattoo for (cause all mine have a reason minus a few for fun ones, but for fun is a deal too, right) we can tell them about CF, how vital the research for the CURE is and hopefully they take us to heart, and join us in making CF stand for CURE FOUND.

Zumba class one was this past Saturday, wow! A work out a good one, and FUN! I am taking a class tonight because of the walk this Saturday. Also looking into a second class weekly to get into, it was that good. Been on the healthy kick this year, so far yet to see any results, but I am doing it so when I have rug rats I can chase them around without being winded and play all the games and sports they want to. I wish the husband would join the band wagon with working toward bettering himself for the future children (we don't have and won't any time soon, but why not start now). So salads, and fruits, tons of veggies and working out. It is fun, not even hard, it is just commitment, and a lot of it. When it is so easy to lounge on the couch with a bag of chips and bowl of dip, you've got to focus. As usual I am my biggest fan and toughest critic, I'm still working on that one but I think I like it so I don't intend to change it.
